Permanent Waves 24KT Gold Ultradisc

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, makers of the 24 KT gold Ultradisc hi-fi line of CDs, will release Rush's Permanent Waves in this format in November. I never even knew they were still releasing these things. It should be interesting to see a) if it sounds better than the original and remaster, plus b) how loud it is.

Share and try to enjoy Iced Earth's $5 video for "Ten Thousand Strong" here. It's a wacky combination of Heavy Metal, Stargate, and the attack on Caprica in the 70's Battlestar Galactica. Words fail me.

"Dirty Little Rockstar"...Unleashed!

The Cult's new single, "Dirty Little Rockstar," can be heard in its entirety here. It definitely reminds of their self-titled album due to the techno beats and lack of heavy metal guitar stylings. Since it's quite a departure from their last disc, Beyond Good and Evil, it'll be interesting to see if this album keeps their current audience, or perhaps finds a new one.
