Maybe I'm just overly hopeful (and pathetic), but I'm hanging in there. If St. Anger had better production (drums that didn't sound like plastic buckets) and guitar solos (which, according to Some Kind of Monster, Hammett wanted), I think the disc would've been a lot better.

Hooray. I enjoyed reading the old User Comments. Amazing how I remembered some of the more ridiculous ones all these years later.
Sadly, I did find a prophetic note in one of your responses. "I never said Metallica was finished, but they're not going in the right direction."
Well, we can put the nail in that coffin. They are most certainly finished now. :(
